What is this Dome?

The dome is a place where different activities will take place, either in festivals, venues, markets or just about anywhere you can put a dome.

While full dome projection has been only accessible in planetariums at science museums, we want to bring the opportunity to the public this beautiful experience in a different context and with a different approach. Our technical foundation is related with audiovisuals, video-art and experimental music, either through software or hardware.

Our Dome concept is a completely unique setting that combines multimedia elements such as live music, live visuals and interactive devices to provide a more “here and now” experience.

Surrounded by a projected image over 360 by 180 degrees, the viewer is sent to a virtual environment, an immersive audiovisual universe that stuns the senses.

How this project began?

It was in a weird situation when we arrived at the idea of making a Dome. Natalie and I (Julian), had left the UK, and decided to go to Ibiza and visit a good friend, Pablo (Muskha). We left Spain mainland with some stress after being checked by an unfriendly “guardia civil” and his dog… once on the boat we had a fresh beer and time to relax.

We had lots of ideas about making some sort of “shop” in the markets in order to sell Natalie´s handcrafts… like a spark we talked about how cool would be to make a dome, play some music and visuals in it and sell our stuff there… As we talked we started to get more and more excited, knowing that was completely possible.

I knew that Pablo was going to love the idea also, he used to make parties in the “Dragon-festival” in the Alpujarras of Granada, and I remember playing once in his sound system under a dome made by them.

We have been always excited about the idea of making such a structure, at first it seems like a tedious task… and it is (respect)… at least until your brain starts to understand the beautiful dome logic.

To our surprise, again, uncle google had all the answers to our questions, formulas, calculators, information in materials, sizes… absolutely everything.
